This is probably one of our most frequently asked questions when dealing with potential new clients. “What do singing waiters actually sing?”. The short answer is, pretty much everything! However, we’re here to help guide you on what exactly it is we can do, and how our secret singers can help achieve the perfect atmosphere for your wedding breakfast or corporate event.

Training

At Undercover Artists, we are a small team of singers who have previously worked together, or have been recommended by another team member. We have all been professionally trained, attending some of the top drama schools the UK has to offer. From Mountview and Guildford, to the London School of Musical Theatre. Our training enables us to perform all different styles of music, so you know you’ll been receiving a quality performance!

Productions

Our undercover singing waiters have all performed in professional productions throughout the UK and abroad, so are incredibly familiar with performing to crowds of all sizes. From Londons’ West End, to UK number 1 tours, and even cruise ships. You can guarantee our surprise singers have done it. A few of our show highlights include – Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Rent, Saturday Night Fever, Avenue Q, Annie, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, The Lion King, and Choir of Man.

Atmosphere

Now here is where you get involved! What atmosphere would you like to create for your wedding breakfast or corporate event? Do you want all your friends and family up on the dancefloor? Or would you like a more relaxed, “sit back and watch” type of performance? The answer to this question will help determine the types of songs you should choose, and what songs we will recommend for you to narrow things down.

Performance

Attending over 300 weddings and events a year, we’d like to think we’re experts when it comes to putting together the best song list. As all of our singers are professionally trained and specialise in something different, it means we can offer an extended repertoire list ranging from classical, musical theatre, swing, jazz, pop, and even 90’s rave music (freed from desire is an absolute tune!). The best part is, you get to choose, and only have the songs that you, your friends and family will enjoy. We won’t force you to have a classical song if that’s not what you like. Whilst at the same time, if you only want musical theatre, we can make it happen!

Action songs

Our secret to getting everyone up and on the dance floor? Action songs! This is where we give your guests “something” to do (be it napkin waving, or doing a conga round the room). If you give your guests an action, they are more inclined to feel less self conscious, and involve themselves with everything that’s going on. Occasionally people need a little coaxing, and by simply including a minimum of 2 of these action songs, you’re guaranteed to have that dance floor filled for the rest of the night.

In short, we have put together an incredibly long song list for you to enjoy, and choose from. We regularly update this list to stay current with what does, and what doesn’t work. So if you have a particular style of music that you’d prefer, simply let us know!
