Singing waiters have been taking over the wedding and entertainment industry for many years now, no one ever expects to catch their waiters singing half way through the meal. It’s the perfect way to both entertain and surprise your guests, so what exactly are singing waiters and what do they do?
What are singing waiters?
Surprise singers are the best kept secret of the wedding singing world! One minute they will be pouring your guests wine, the next getting everyone on their feet waving napkins. Undercover Artists are in fact a team of professional singers who pose as actual waiters at your wedding reception, corporate event, or awards ceremony. They will help with duties such as pouring wine, refilling water jugs and clearing empty glasses, blending in seamlessly with the rest of the wait staff before it’s time to make their big reveal.
What type of events are singing waiters suitable for?
If you have any type of catering at your event, then we can be there! Our secret singers have performed at the following types of events to give you an idea – weddings, corporate, award ceremonies, christenings, birthday parties, anniversaries, bar mitzvah’s, Christmas events and even a super yacht launch! It also doesn’t need to be a formal 3 course sit down meal as our surprise performances work just as well with buffets, BBQ’s or hog roasts. We’ve been known to interrupt a few speeches and drinks receptions in our time as well.
How do singing waiters start?
Our most popular reveal is the “tray drop”. We’re all about creating a positive atmosphere when starting off our surprise performances, so you’ll find no cheesy speeches or arguments from us. When the time is right (usually once all desserts have been served) our undercover waiters will walk through your venue with a tray of spoons, before tripping and falling on the floor. It’s not necessarily about seeing the fall, but the noise to get everyone’s attention. From there on out, our singing staff will entertain your guests, serenading them with spectacular vocals whilst getting everyone waving napkins and dancing along.
Why have singing waiters?
There any many reasons as to why you should have surprise singing waiters at your wedding or event (aside from us being the best singing waiters in the UK of course).
